The short version
The phases
The six steps are set out in full on how we work. In timeline terms they split into three blocks:
- Decisions. Measurement, design, 3D visuals, quote and material selection. This block is almost entirely in the client's control.
- Production. Modular work is produced off site while site work — ceiling, electrical, painting — runs in parallel. This block is predictable.
- Installation and snagging. Fitting, then a joint walkthrough and closing the list.
What actually causes delays
Late material decisions
A shutter finish that is still undecided holds up production of everything that shutter attaches to. Deciding a week earlier often saves more than a week.
Association permissions
Most Bangalore gated communities require a work permit, worker ID copies, restricted working hours, lift protection and scheduled debris removal. Starting that paperwork late is the most avoidable delay there is.
Appliances bought late
The countertop cannot be cut until the hob, sink and chimney are confirmed. See kitchen layouts.
Changes after production starts
A change on a drawing costs a conversation. The same change after the carcass is cut costs a rebuild.
What to ask any contractor
- A week-by-week schedule, in writing, before work starts.
- What happens to the schedule if a material choice slips.
- Who is on site each day, and who you call when they are not.
Planning around a possession date
If you have keys and have not moved in, that empty window is the fastest time to work — installation is quicker, cleaner and easier to snag. Book the measurement visit as soon as the builder's snag list is closed.
